"Swing dance has totally changed my outlook." ~Alexander Cushen

Swing is the most amazing thing in the world to me!!! I only started dancing just over a year ago when I came across my university's swing dance club... since then it's totally consumed my life, as I know am the president of the club, have joined an external performance troupe and go social dancing at least once a week! Swing dance has totally changed my outlook and is responsible for some of my fondest memories and has introduced me to many close friends. I think it is a wonderful opportunity to everyone to have available, especially in universities (everyone is always looking for a community to be a part of..)

I've met members of the uConn swing and blues group and they are a fantastic and enthusiastic group of dancers who deserve recognition for keeping their community alive and thriving. It's always a pleasure getting to dance with them and I hope they know they will always be welcome to New York!
